Ian Backhouse, son of Anne Backhouse, was born in the United Kingdom in December of 1971. He loved heavy/black metal attending the Wacken Open Air music festival nearly every year since it's inception in 1990. He played Lineage 2 for many years on many different characters though he never strayed far from his dwarf character 'Trixiebell'. He lead the clan AncientWisdom which was nearly always full to capacity with friends who enjoyed his company. He created and lead the band 'Wolfmoon' where he was a singer and a bass guitar player for several years. Ian was an avid Pokemon Go player favoring the Team Valor.

In the beginning of June 2025, Ian was unwell and told his online friends he was going to lay down. Unfortunately this was the last communication Ian had with his friends as he passed away shortly after leaving his desk chair. Ian was found to have had a DVT which was undiagnosed and led to his death. Ian was cremated by his family after a closed funeral and his friends celebrated his life at a wake at The Barnbow Pub in Crossgates with plenty of stories, a glass raised and some heavy metal.

Ian will be missed by many, many friends and family who will always remember staying up late chatting or playing Lineage 2 with him.
